IDS Mission
The Information and Decision Systems Group (IDS) was born in 2010 as an innitiative that concentrates the invidual research efforts of faculties working in the areas of communications, control, instrumentation and signal processing.
The genesis of the group is our joint interest in problems involving information processing (coding, estimation and detection), where the use of probability theory, signal processing and learning theory are the key ingredients.
Our mission is to develop computational tools for decision making in environments with uncertainty and the design of information systems.
